Trinity Development & Alumni (TDA) is the primary fundraising agency for Trinity College Dublin.  It is charged with responsibility for, and exists solely to support, the fundraising (development) and alumni engagement activities of the University.  TDA is administered by Trinity Foundation, an independent charity established in 1994 to support Trinity in its educational, research and social missions.  Further information is available from www.tcd.ie/development.

Role & Purpose

Support the data orientated operations of the office by maintaining and processing the database of alumni, donors, and contacts, containing approximately 100,000 records.

Key Responsibilities

Support the overall quality and integrity of the database, including data input and output activities.
Assist with setup, data sorting and fulfilment of mailings.
Assist with gift entry, acknowledgements of donations and other giving related communications.
Analyse and generate data lists and reports for members of the TDA staff
Ensure compliance with Data Protection Acts and College data policies around use of and distribution of data.
Learn and operate the various data systems, including Raisers Edge, Harris Connect, Mailchimp and Smarteezie.
Co-ordinate a team of part-time data entry assistants.
Plan, record, measure and report on activity (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
Work with the TDA teams in delivering the respective goals of the College.
Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time to time by line manager.

Motivated, flexible and able to use own initiative in a busy working environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster good working relationships.
Diligent, highly organised with close attention to detail.
Experience of structuring workload and timelines.
Excellent oral, written and numeric communication skills.
Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders.
Third-level qualification or professionally trained with appropriate qualifications.
Strong computer skills – MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Enthusiasm for learning new systems, including new software packages.
Experience with customer relationship management databases or equivalent desired.
Understanding of, and passion for, the role and value of a university in society.
