3 x CE Positions – CARI Foundation – Dublin 9

Three part time positions are required for CARI Foundation. These are CE positions and participants must be eligible and be in receipt of a social welfare payment for the previous year. The position is 19 and half hours per week.
CARI is a post assessment therapy centre that provides therapy, Helpline support and accompaniment to children who have experienced or been impacted by sexual abuse.

Positions Required
Child Accompaniment Officer; CARI’s Child Accompaniment Support Service (CASS) are looking to recruit a Child Accompaniment Officer.
CASS provides accompaniment and support to children within the criminal justice system.
We provide accompaniment and support to:

Children who have to attend for a forensic examination.
Children, where appropriate, during their statement with An Garda Síochána, and
Children, nationally, when they have to attend court as a witness/victim for any crime during the criminal trial.

Although no experience is necessary as training will be provided the following experience is desirable:

An understanding of the Children’s First and Child Protection guidelines.
A keen interest in supporting victims through the legal system.
A self-motivated personality.
A strong sense of empathy.
An ability to relate to people.
A solid understanding of boundaries.
Communication skills.
Basic understanding of computer skills and statistics.
Excellent record keeping.
Confidentiality.

Job Description

Clerical Staff; Computer and telephone skills would be an advantage. This position requires good communications skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Cleaner; this position requires the successful applicant to clean and maintain the offices of the CARI Foundation
