NFTE Programme Officer – Foróige – Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship

Foróige, the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country, funded by The Community Foundation for Ireland, invite applications for the following position:

Part Time NFTE Programme Officer
This is a new project based in Co. Tipperary. It is funded by the Community Foundation for Ireland. This new project is designed to establish the NFTE programme in school and out of school settings. NFTE Programme participants are given a seed grant to set up and run their own business. In doing so, they gain key skills in all aspects of entrepreneurship. NFTE’s main objectives are to increase school completion and college attendance, promote self-belief, build communication skills and develop knowledge and interest in business.

The successful applicant will have;
Education to National Diploma or Degree standard preferably in Youth / Community Work (note: candidates with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications)
Experience in an education-related community-based organisation or school environment.
A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
Access to car and full driving licence.
Ability to engage target group.
