Programme Coordinator – Common Purpose Ireland – Dublin

Common Purpose is a not-for-profit organisation that brings together people from a wide range of backgrounds to help them become more effective leaders in society. We run a range of leadership development programmes that offer participants the inspiration, knowledge and connections to help them become more active and engaged in society.

Due to further expansion of our Dublin team, a position for a Programme Coordinator based in our Smithfield office has now become available. The role involves working within Common Purpose structures to support the delivery of the Common Purpose vision, through the delivery of Common Purpose programmes.

The starting salary for this position is €28,000.

Key Responsibilities of this Role

1. The Vision: Work within Common Purpose structures to support the delivery of the Common Purpose vision:

Support teams delivering Common Purpose local and national events.
Describe the Common Purpose campaign effectively over the telephone and face to face.

2. Programme Activities: Responsible for the efficient administration of all systems and activities from the local office in accordance with policies and procedures. These include:

Identifying and organising venues for all events.
Identifying, contacting and briefing contributors, panellists and visit hosts
Identifying material for the curriculum and producing quality supporting materials
Supporting the network of communicating effectively with participants, graduates and Advisory Group members
Keeping well informed about the local and national strategy in order to deal with most correspondence and enquiries
Spotting opportunities for developing Common Purpose on a local and national level.

3. Office Administration, Finance and Systems: Responsible for the efficient administration of systems and activities run from the local office in accordance with policies and procedures. These include:

Maximising the use of all the IT systems
Keeping Common Purpose Office and the Knowledge Base up-to-date and accurate
Managing the office schedule, brought forward and filing systems effectively
Dealing effectively and efficiently with telephone and written enquiries taking a customer-focused approach
Providing effective secretarial support as required to the line manager
Taking clear and concise minutes of Advisory Group, Forum meetings and other meetings as required
Raise invoices and collect debts promptly

4. Profile: Present a professional, helpful and efficient image of Common Purpose at all times.
