Applications are invited for a permanent appointment as Lecturer (above the bar) in Continental European Philosophy, UCD School of Philosophy. This is an academic teaching and research post in continental European philosophy. The appointee will also have the responsibility to develop new courses and research initiatives. The School has a particular need for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision in various aspects of continental European philosophy. The range of further possible teaching is quite broad, including the history of post-Kantian philosophy from Hegel to the present day, and including such movements as phenomenology and existentialism as well as areas of enquiry including aesthetics, hermeneutics and critical theory. It is expected the appointee will contribute to the development of high quality research in this general area in the School through significant publications, research collaborations and the organisation of and contribution to workshops.
