Description

The School of Genetics and Microbiology invites applications for an Ussher Assistant Professor (lectureship) in Genome Analysis. The successful applicant will have a PhD and an accomplished track record of research in the field of genome analysis, will be expected to have experience of, or at least potential for, attracting competitive grant funding for research and to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The post-holder will also contribute to postgraduate training in genetics through the supervision of research students. Expertise in all or some of the following areas is particularly welcomed: population genomics; high throughput genome analysis workflows; data manipulation and computer programming; genetic epidemiology and statistical genomics; comparative genomics.
