Community Access Support’ Role – SECAD

SECAD is currently seeking to recruit an officer to work in the capacity of a ‘Community Access Support’ role for the SICAP programme targeting people living in the most ‘disadvantaged’ areas as well as ‘disadvantaged communities’

The role will involve;
Pre-development work within specified communities and needs analysis in key nominated designated ‘areas of disadvantage’.
Working in the heart of communities to map existing social and economic service provision, identify deficits and spotlight shortfalls which require action.
Liaise with relevant state agencies and stakeholders to facilitate collaborative action, to ensure avoidance of duplication and to maximise added value of pilot initiatives.
Designing pilot initiatives in designated areas/communities to address and respond to needs and challenges identified.
Through the Social Inclusion & Community Activation Programme (SICAP), SECAD works with local community groups operating out of community work principles and processes and focussed on the needs of SICAP target groups.
