General Manager – Assisi House

Assisi House is a residential home for the Elderly members of the Secular Franciscan Order and was established in 1983.

Assisi House aims to provide affordable accommodation, secure with necessary supports in a caring environment. The aim is to keep residents as independent as possible for as long as possible caring for their needs and maintaining good family relations. Ensuring high standards in all aspects of care and provision

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced person to manage our residential care facility. The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of a quality service to the residents in compliance with HSE and HIQA regulations

The General Manager will be a key member of the company hierarchy; he / she would be responsible for overseeing the entirety of an organisation’s operations

The post requires its incumbent to have excellent multi-tasking, organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of the sector and related finances.

The person must ensure that company goals are met in a timely fashion by efficiently and effectively managing personnel and resources.

The Applicant
It is essential that the applicant has evidence of proven leadership and/or management skills.
It is desirable that the applicant has a qualification or recognised training in leadership and/or management, preferable in Healthcare
Have financial and budgeting skills
Excellent planning, organisational, training, and presentation skills.
Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the smooth operation of Assisi House
Reporting and Working with the voluntary Board of Directors
Maintain records in accordance with all statutory requirements.
Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.
Oversee all staffing and rostering
Evaluate and manage the implementation of best practice policy and procedures e.g. control and usage of stocks and equipment,
Uphold grievance and disciplinary procedures.
Oversee the maintenance of all Day to day records, payment of salaries, compliance with revenue, and employment law.
Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentially, ethics, data protection and legislation.
Responsibility for purchasing and procurement.
Oversee and steer HIQA registration and be responsible for the application of the National Quality Standard for residential care settings for the Older People in Ireland.
Protection, Maintenance and upgrade of all property and other assets
