HR Generalist – St Patrick’s Centre

Role: The Human Resources Generalist will carry responsibility for aspects of employee relations and human resource initiatives in St. Patrick’s Kilkenny. This includes responsibility for leading and supporting as appropriate, programmes in the areas of employee engagement, talent management, compensation and benefits, recruitment and HR systems in St. Patrick’s Kilkenny.

Hours: Flexible 37 Hours Per Week Working Arrangement Fitted to Relevant Role.

Responsibilities:
Responsibility for leading and supporting as appropriate, a range of Programmes covering areas of employee engagement, talent management, compensation and benefits, recruitment and HR systems.
Maintain and further develop positive working relationships with the relevant union bodies and stakeholders.
Lead/support as appropriate the recruitment and selection of employees at all levels of the organisation in line with the resource needs of the operation.
Lead/support the design, implementation and ongoing administration of key compensation & benefit arrangements pertaining to St. Patrick’s Kilkenny.
Provide support to all departments and business units on resource requirements, critical HR data, employee relations issues and general HR support.
Lead/support as appropriate the review and updating of all company HR policies, procedures and related documentation to ensure St. Patrick’s is compliant with the prevailing employment legislation in Ireland.
Participate in Trade Union Engagement and negotiations.
Carry out work place investigations.
Provide contemporary HR advice, strategic guidance and change management support as well as implementing initiatives and Programmes to meet specific organisational needs, goals and strategies.
Responsible for the monthly reporting of all key HR KPI data in support of the business.
Responsible for Human Resources filing and administration.
Perform additional duties as required.

Personal Profile:
Education & Qualifications:
Relevant Qualification in Human Resources, Diploma or Degree is advantageous.

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Values:
Previous generalist HR experience required.
Previous experience of working in a busy changeable environment advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organisation.
Ability to negotiate with and influence management decisions.
Demonstrated experience in interpreting and providing sound HR advice in context to legislation, policy and procedures.
Demonstrated experience in providing accurate advice to employees at all levels on a range of complex and sensitive issues.
Ability to autonomously respond to grievances and complaints, and investigate complex cases involving performance issues and potential misconduct.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative.
Strong competence in IT.
