Lead Practitioner – Daughters of Charity Child and Family Service

The Daughters of Charity Child and Family Service (DoCCFS) is a non-profit for public benefit organisation. We provide a range of therapeutic supportive services to children and families, primarily based in the Dublin region. The Service works in collaboration with TUSLA Child and Family Agency local areas in Dublin North East and Dublin Mid Leinster.

The DoCCFS are seeking applications to the post of Lead Practitioner for placement in our new centre working with Domestic, Sexual and Gender based Violence. The focus of the role will be to work systemically with families experiencing this form of violence, with a specific focus on working with perpetrators.

Candidates must be a Professionally Qualified Social Worker and should hold a qualification that allows therapeutic work with children/adults. Candidates must have a minimum of one years’ experience in a team leader or management role and must have significant experience networking and influencing change with relevant agencies and allied professionals.

Candidates must have experience using mechanisms to evaluate the outcome of work. Presentation skills and experience presenting to professionals will be a distinct advantage.

Additional qualifications and/or experience working systemically in domestic, sexual and gender based violence will be an advantage. Experience working with perpetrators will be a distinct advantage. A full knowledge of the relevant legislation underpinning work in this area is essential.
