Regional Advocacy Manager – National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities

Background Information:
The National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities provides an independent, confidential and free, representative advocacy service that works exclusively for the person using the service and adheres to the highest professional standards.

NAS works to ensure that when life decisions are made, due consideration is given to the will and preference of people with disabilities and that their rights are safeguarded.

NAS has a particular remit for people with disabilities who are isolated from their community and services, have communication differences, are inappropriately accommodated, live in residential services, attend day services and have limited informal or natural supports.

The Role:
NAS are hiring a Regional Advocacy Manager to lead and direct their regional advocacy team. Reporting to the National Advocacy Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the service at regional level in line with national strategy.

It is not required that The Regional Advocacy Manager has a background in advocacy, but is vital that h/she has experience of supervising teams and possesses strong people management skills. The successful candidate will be process driven and highly organised, with a proven track record of establishing and leading new procedures.
