Administration Assistant – Educate Together National Office – Dublin

The Educate Together National Office is recruiting a temporary Administration Assistant to support the administration needs of all programmes, and the overall delivery of the organisation’s strategic goals. This position will be for six months.

This work will include:

Answering telephone calls and ensuring that all calls are logged and directed to the appropriate officer.
Answering routine enquiries by phone, post, email or ca ller from supplied company literature.
Assisting with managing the Office Diary.
Making bookings for events, travel and accommodation as required.
Logging and filing post, email and other communications.
Managing outward mail including mailshots.
Organising routine office supplies.
Managing relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Working with Educate Together Volunteers.
Updating databases, websites, email lists.
Organising events and working at events (press releases, conferences, launches etc.)
Playing a full role in the development of the Educate Together national office team and other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

A high standard of integrity, accountability, confidentiality, responsibility and flexible, constructive engagement will be required throughout the carrying out of these duties.
Person Description

The individual should have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent proven experience.
Enthusiasm for the aims and objectives of Educate Together.
ICT proficiency with professional level skills in e-mail, MS Office, Moodle administration, Salesforce, database entry, web, Mac.
Excellent copy writing, proofing and information distribution skills.
Excellence in communicating in English in a variety of contexts.
Diary management.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Attention to detail, especially in an online environment.
Experience in organising events.
Willingness and ability to provide support to the Educate Together National Office team.
Great telephone manner.
Efficient working style (well -organised with excellent time-management skills).
Enjoy providing assistance and information.
Interpersonal skills.
Willingness and ability to work with and contribute to the team.
Willingness and ability to work to laid down policies and organisational schedules.

The position is based at Educate Together’s National Offices in Dublin. Hours are based on a 35 hour week and 26 days holidays p.a. This post may involve some travel within the state, with time off in lieu of working at evenings or weekends. However, employees are guaranteed a number of “ring-fenced’ weekends and evenings off, to ensure that such demands are kept to a manageable and agreed level.

The salary for this role is €24,000 a year pro-rata.   A six-month contract is currently envisaged but this post may evolve into a permanent position. A start date in April 2015 is sought.
