Family Support Worker & Outreach Worker – Crinan Youth Project – Dublin 1

The people
we are seeking will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and will have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a community based project. The main tasks include:

Outreach Workers
Carrying out assessments with young people
Careplanning/keyworking
Referrals to other agencies/treatment programmes
Devising and delivering training and recreational programmes for groups of young people in treatment and in recovery from drug dependency.
Individual and group work – in-house and outreach
Out of hours/evening work and street outreach work
Creating a supportive environment
Maintaining records – computerised and report writing
Advocacy work

Essential
A Professionally endorsed qualification in Youth and Community work or Addiction Studies or
An equivalent professional qualification or relevant degree and experience of working with young people at risk/substance misuse.
Desirable: 1-2 years full time experience of working with young people at risk. Knowledge of ACRA an advantage. Group facilitation, report writing and computer literate.
Salary: 6 point scale: €16,644 – €20,993
Family Support Worker
This position carries special responsibility in the team for organising family work (1:1), family support groups & family training, holistic evenings, and working within the multi-disciplinary team in Crinan.
Organising and delivering Family Support Programmes to service user’s partners, parents and other family members.
Individual and group work with families
Out of hours/evening work and outreach with families
Creating a supportive environment
Maintaining records, report writing, eCass and HRB client database systems
Advocacy work with families

Essential
The ideal candidate will have a professionally endorsed qualification in Social Care and/or Addiction Studies OR An equivalent professional qualification/relevant degree PLUS
2 years full-time experience of working with families impacted by addiction and/or disadvantage.
Have completed training and worked with evidence based family support models, CRAFT, 5 Step Method and NVR.
Desirable: Group facilitation, report writing, computer literate. Knowledge of ACRA an advantage.

Salary: 10 point scale: €36,280-€52,310
