Domestic Abuse Service, provides support to around 500 women and their children each year. Those who use our service are women either at risk from an abusive partner or who have suffered abuse at the hands of a partner in the past.

Our role
is to provide a safe space for each woman and her children and then to assist her in exploring options and making decisions which will lead to a better life.
As a 24/7 Service, we require a Night Support Worker, to work live night shifts on a number of nights (one to three) between the hours of 9.30pm and 9.30am, Monday to Sunday, inclusively. The Night Support Worker will support the Domestic Abuse Support Team in maintaining operations throughout the night, ensuring that the Service is responsive to the needs of our clients. Duties will include supporting Domestic Abuse Service staff in working with clients, as appropriate; office and administration tasks, and cleaning tasks in line with the maintenance schedule.

This role would suit someone who has:
Completed level 6 on National Framework of Qualifications in social care/ healthcare.
Some ICT competence and experience in office systems.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
An ability to engage with and gain the trust of clients.
Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible in work.

Hours of Work: Live Night Shifts between the hours of 9.30pm and 9.30am, Monday to Sunday; one to three shifts in the week.
Contract: 2 years fixed term
