Social Care Worker – Kerry Parents and Friends Association

The Role:
To facilitate and implement a person-centred approach for our individuals appropriate to their wishes and goals.
To promote and protect the right of the people we support in a manner that respects their dignity, right to make choices and their privacy.
To actively seek new interests and opportunities for the people we support to develop meaningful roles in their Communities.
To ensure the overall wellbeing of the people we support in all areas of their lives including health and personal care.
To assist in the teaching of life skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence.

Essential Criteria:
BA in Applied Social Care or equivalent qualification.
Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably within a disability service.
A passion for promoting and empowering those you support.
An excellent knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standards.
Car owner with a full drivers licence desirable.
