Support Worker (Male only / Night Duty) – Navan Area -Praxis Care – Co Meath

What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.

Where You Would Work: Navan Area
The Navan Area has three residential homes which provides services to those with complex needs. Each scheme predominately works with those with intellectual disabilities and autism. Each scheme is unique and provides services to support service users to live independent active lives.
Support Workers are central to ensuring Praxis Care achieves our goal of providing quality care and support to our Service Users. Each of our Support Workers will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a high quality and reliable support service. Our Support Workers provide a friendliness and encouragement towards our Service Users supporting independence and providing the environment for Service Users to achieve their 
desired outcomes

Salary Details:
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies* The lawful recruitment of a male for this position falls within the exclusion allowed by section 25 (1) and (2) of the Employment Equality Acts 1998-2015.
