Description
A Transport Assistant is required for a large transport/ logistics company. The ideal candidate must be flexible and be available to work at weekends and should have previous experience working in a busy fast paced office environment. The Primary transport concerns are Temperature Controlled Distribution. Duties will include:Dealing with Drivers on a daily basis, Planning, Producing reports as requested, Participate in Operations meetings, Work with the sales team and transport manager, Liaise with mechanics and all third party suppliers, Work well under pressure, Liaising with clients etc. Excellent English, both written and spoken.(additional Language an advantage), computer skills (word / Excel) and telephone manner. Knowledge of the transport industry, legislation etc. Previous experience an advantage but full training will be given to the successful candidate.
