Communications, Campaigns / Policy JobBridge Internship – Mental Health Reform – Dublin 7

Based in Dublin 7. Ref. INTE-1000399

Description
The intern will gain practical experience in:

Researching press statements
Campaign launches
Media monitoring
Monitoring debates
Drafting website content
Maintaining databases
Public consultation events, meetings, seminars, conferences
Editing/writing campaigning/policy documents
Transcribing minutes, interviews
Gathering evidence on good practice in mental health
Gathering evidence on the status of mental health reform in Ireland
Mailings to lobby targets and stakeholders.

The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following:

WordPress website editing
Mailchimp newsletter software
CiviCRM contact database
Mental health policy.

On completion the intern will have attained skills in

Research, Writing, editing, proofreading, communications, Event management, Campaigning.

Skills Requirements
Skills and Attitudes Required: Fluent speaker and writer of English; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent organisational skills; Research skills; Keen interest in and knowledge of mental health issues; knowledge of the workings of the Houses of the Oireachtas; Skill in Microsoft Office and databases; Sense of humour; flexibility
