AONTAS, The National Adult Learning Organisation is seeking to recruit a Communications Officer.

The Communications Officer will lead the delivery of a communications and promotional strategy to ensure that the objectives of the AONTAS Strategic Plan are achieved to the highest standard. The key elements of the communication strategy include promotion and media work, advocacy and policy work, website and social media development, relationship building and the dissemination of information to AONTAS members and a diverse range of stakeholders. The Communications Officer will promote and advocate for the value and benefits of adult learning. He/she will ensure that AONTAS policy positions and messages are communicated to a wide variety of audiences.

The role of communications officer will be within the Administrative Officer standard scale.

Working Hours: 9.30am to 5.00pm – Monday to Friday. This is a permanent role and an obligatory pension contribution of 5% after 6 months with the employer contributing 10%.
