PR and Communications Intern – HAIL – Dublin

Our Organisation

HAIL (Housing Association for Integrated Living) was founded in 1985 and over the past 30 years, HAIL has become a very successful, award winning housing provider for people with a range of housing and support needs, however, our primary objective is to respond to the permanent accommodation requirements of those with mental health difficulties.

HAIL currently has over 250 properties in the greater Dublin area, ranging in size from single accommodation units to large scale, purpose built mixed housing developments.

HAIL’s support service is a vital part of our association. For many people, particularly those with mental health difficulties, a place to live, may not in itself be enough to give them complete security. HAIL offers housing with supports aimed at maximising our tenants’ abilities to sustain their tenancies. In recent years, HAIL has expanded its’ support service, to provide mental health supports to those in other tenures in order to prevent homelessness (Regional Mental Health Support Team) and to source accommodation and offer support to those who are currently living in HSE residential services (HAIL Genio Slan Abhaile project).

This year, HAIL celebrates our 30th Anniversary and we have recently introduced our new brand. HAIL feel that this is an ideal and exciting opportunity to increase our brand recognition and raise awareness of the award winning, high quality housing and support services we provide to our tenants and clients.

What we offer

Working from our Dame Street office, HAIL offers the Intern a chance to work as part of the team in a growing, committed and professional voluntary approved housing body. The Intern will gain valuable knowledge in relation to working in a voluntary organisation providing housing and support services primarily to people with mental health difficulties. The Intern will gain practical experience in P.R., communications, social media and event management. HAIL are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, self starter and are willing to allow the Intern to “put their mark” on the P.R. and communications policy of the organisation.
