Research and Membership Engagement Officer – Irish Council for Social Housing

Job Overview.
The ICSH is recruiting a Research and membership engagement officer with advanced skills in writing and report production. The successful candidate will have experience in research and stakeholder engagement and will work within its collaboration section.

Key Responsibilities
To assist in developing/updating of the previous ICSH collaboration toolkits/guidance including compiling and dissemination of sector case studies
With the development team to respond to members general support needs including regulatory/housing queries.
To develop new collaboration guidance and resource materials for use within the AHB sector
To promote ongoing consultation with AHBs in relation to their collaboration plans and to engage members regarding their sustainability plans to progress schemes such as promoting shared administrative functions and county/regional management structures as well as other collaboration initiatives in areas such as development and housing acquisition.
Assist members interested in mergers and acquisitions through practical advice and guidance.
The collation of and follow up on expressions of interest in collaboration activities by Approved Housing Bodies and other stakeholders,

Required Skills and Experience
A proven track record in research projects, including the production of quality reports and resource materials.
The person should be able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge/understanding of the housing association sector in Ireland.
Relevant Qualification in housing, research, policy or equivalent.
IT Skills: experience of databases (Salesforce experience desirable) and Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent presentation skills to present to a wide range of audiences.
The person will demonstrate experience of taking ownership for project delivery, capacity in delivering within timescales, excellent communications skills, strong stakeholder engagement experience, as well as excellent team-working abilities.
Can demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Be able to be very responsive to queries by ICSH members and the public.
Conditions of Employment
IT The Research and Membership Engagement officer will ordinarily be based in the ICSH offices at 50 Merrion Sq., Dublin 2. However, due to ongoing Government restrictions he/she will currently work remotely.
Salary Scale will be in the region of € 30,000-35,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
S/he will also be required to attend meetings at various locations throughout the country and will be required to attend evening/weekend meetings on an occasional basis. Agreed time-off in lieu will be available for these meetings.
The ICSH operates flexi time arrangements.
This is a fixed Term Contract. April 2021- April 2022
