Key Areas of Responsibility: To ensure that the highest possible standards of care, education and training are maintained in keeping with the values of the Hospitaller Ministries of St. John Of God. To assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of a range of individualised programmes aimed at improving quality of life. ?Quality of Life? embraces personal choice, relationships, personal development, integration and participation in community life. To participate in the on-going evaluation of programmes in accordance with the Orders Quality System Personal Outcome Measures. Through the implementation of appropriate procedures and practice to ensure delivery of the highest quality and standard of service. To actively support and promote engagement in purposeful activities including rehabilitative training, FETAC. To keep up-to-date in relation to methods and knowledge regarding best practise in the area of services for individuals with an ID.
Skills Requirements
Must have minimum FETAC Level 6 qualification e.g. Social Care/Training/ Education/Teaching etc. Experience in the following is desirable: Experience in developing networks and mainstream opportunities for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Experience in training for adults such as FETAC is desirable. Excellent communication skills. Initiative, motivation, enthusiasm and be flexible in all aspects of work. Commitment to the development and delivery of a person centred programm.
