My client, a global leader in multi-screen video, is looking to hire a Technical Support Engineer for their European HQ in Co. Louth. Key responsibilities: Provide expert telephone based technical support for Video On Demand Products for an EMEA wide customer base in a fast paced, 24X7 environment. Manage each reported incident from call intake, diagnosis and escalation through to resolution. Meticulously documenting each stage of the transactions in order to generate knowledge and accurate records.Initial 2 week training will be provided in the Netherlands.

Skills Requirements

Technical Skills: Relevant 3rd level qualification or 1 yr exper in some or all of the following areas: Windows 2003/2008 Server, Networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), Basisc Unix, Linux, MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle. Experience with Video on demand, DTV, DVB, STB desirable. Must be able to work under pressure, be flexible to cover different shifts and have good cultural awareness working across geographies.
