Area Director (job ref WMAD)

This is an exciting opportunity in a senior management position in the Muiríosa Foundation.  Appointed to a new area of the organisation initially. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, the Area Director will drive initiatives with team support to achieve desired outcomes for individuals and ensure that core goals are met.

Requirements:

Relevant management experience preferably at senior level
Relevant Qualification for the role (e.g. background in Nursing, Social Care, Psychology or other relevant qualification in the field of Intellectual Disability)
Excellent communication skills
Extensive experience of services for people with Intellectual Disability
Deep knowledge of National Disability Policy
Experience of applying HIQA Standards and relevant legislation
It will be an advantage in this role to have knowledge of Individualised services
Full current driving licence with ability to travel extensively in the local service area

The successful candidate will be innovative and goal-driven. They will be accountable and responsible for the outcomes for individuals who reside in the area and they will appreciate the vital importance of good communication. A practical hands-on approach will be required and the Area Director will be resilient and will welcome a challenge while enjoying working as part of a team.

As leader of the Area the successful candidate will have an opportunity to put their stamp on a defined area with appropriate organisational support within a short space of time.  Supports are available to the Area Director to achieve the outcomes.

Manager in Residential Services (job ref WMMRS)

(Clinical Nurse Manager 1/Social Care Leader)

With the establishment of a new area in the Co Westmeath region of the Muiríosa Foundation, a number of management positions are being recruited.

Required to manage one house initially, reporting to the Area Director the manager will be the person in charge of a residential home. In a supernumerary capacity, the successful candidate will work with the Area Director to achieve good outcomes for individuals.

Requirements for candidates:

Relevant Qualification for the role
Management experience
Extensive experience of services for people with Intellectual Disability
Sound knowledge of the HIQA Standards and relevant legislation
Experience of HIQA Inspections in ID settings
IT skills to include Email, Word, Spreadsheets
Report writing skills
Ability to prepare Rosters

The successful candidate will be pivotal in terms of helping people map out their own good life and support the person towards it.
