The Psychological Society of Ireland is the learned society for Psychology in Ireland whose aims are: to support psychological practice; provide support for the discipline and profession of psychology; promote the profile and standing of the profession of Psychology in Ireland; foster citizen well-being; build the membership of the Society; support good governance and strengthen the finances of the Society. The Society’s Council and CEO are responsible for assuring the delivery of the above aims.

The Society now seeks to appoint a CEO who has the strategic vision and highly developed management skills to lead the Society into the future.

The successful applicant will hold an impressive management track record.

Candidates will need to demonstrate leadership and strategic capability, networking skills, competence in financial and accounting practices and highly developed interpersonal skills. They will have significant experience at a senior level of management, corporate governance, working directly to a Council or a Board of Management, and working within a member-led learned society involving volunteer members and employees.

The post attracts a remuneration package commensurate with its responsibilities.  It is envisaged to hold interviews in early – mid September, 2015.
