The requirement for this role;
Level 7 or 8 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education
2-3 years’ experience in a childcare service
An up-to-date working knowledge of the latest developments in the early years sector
Effective leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Proficient knowledge in child development theories and practices
Effective written, verbal and listening communication skills
Capacity to implement childcare practice in line with organisational policies and procedures
A commitment to working with parents and children in a way that supports positive child development, child-parent relationship and overall child and family well-being
To fill in and maintain the appropriate records keeping procedures e.g. attendance sheets, incident reports or observation charts
Knowledge of Aistear Framework and Siolta Standards
