JOB DESCRIPTION

Title of position: Communications and Advocacy Manager
Reporting to: CEO of the Immigrant Council of Ireland
Location: 2 St Andrew St, Dublin 2

This is a permanent, full-time role, subject to funding. 6 month probationary period applies.

Purpose of position
The Communications and Advocacy Manager will implement the communications and advocacy strategy of the Immigrant Council of Ireland with the primary objective of influencing government policy in relation to aspects of Ireland’s legislative and policy immigration framework.
The strategy aims to create the favourable conditions to encourage the political will for change, as well as seeking to inform, via media relations, public opinion on immigration and integration-related issues from a human rights perspective.
