Membership and Volunteer Manager
The Membership and Volunteer Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a membership and volunteer strategy for IFCA and to manage the existing full range of supports to volunteers and members. They will be responsible for growth and strengthening of IFCAs membership base, and the recruitment and retention of volunteers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Membership
Develop a strategy for the recruitment and retention of IFCA members in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
Support IFCA to comply with its constitutional requirements regarding membership
Comply with GDPR requirements
Identify, monitor and respond to the needs of members as they relate to IFCA’s mission and objectives
Oversee the administration of processes to IFCA members
Review and make recommendations on improving IFCA’s member experience

Volunteers
Develop a strategy for the recruitment and retention of volunteers
Manage, support and provide direction to IFCA volunteers to achieve IFCA’s strategic aims and objectives
Provide training and support to IFCA volunteers in Branches and Hubs
Guide and support volunteers
Develop and deliver an annual operational plan for the recruitment and retention of volunteers with measurable outcomes
Implement IFCA’s GDPR policy and ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice
Ensure volunteers receive training in relevant policies as required
Review and update, as necessary, IFCA’s Volunteer Policy and Application process
Map volunteer requirements in consultation with the National Service Manager and relevant staff to ensure that the needs of volunteers are met
Create role descriptions for each volunteer role in consultation with the relevant staff
Implement IFCA’s Volunteer and other relevant policies
Establish a volunteer evaluation process for feedback to programme managers and volunteers
Regularly review volunteer training and support needs and develop a plan to meet same
Anticipate and plan for future volunteer needs and programme development
Lead, support and manage volunteer days, volunteer recruitment drives, training and information sessions
Identify resources that foster volunteer development and recognition
Establish conflict resolution and conflict management processes
Establish fair and transparent processes for addressing volunteer performance or relationship issues

Programme Administration & Support
Manage the Administrator to membership
Work collaboratively with IFCA’s bookkeeper in the management and oversight of the processing of membership and legal fees payments
Support internal committees or processes for supporting Membership and Volunteering.
Support the administrator in the management of IFCA’s membership CRM and advise on improvements within the CRM system as identified

Proven track record of developing a membership base
Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication skills
Ability to work within a team and enthuse colleagues
An understanding of the process of membership and volunteer recruitment and retention and a passion for quality and innovation in the service
Ability to work independently and take the initiative within the operational parameters set by the CEO
Understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to GDPR
Ability to build partnerships with statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations
Understanding of information technology.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Relevant third level qualification
Experience of developing membership recruitment and retention strategies
Experience of supporting, recruiting and retaining volunteers
Experience of working with multiple key stakeholders
Excellent report writing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience of managing staff
Proficiency in IT systems and experience of CRM database management
Working as part of a team

Desirable
Knowledge of policy, legislation and systems which inform foster care
Knowledge of policy which informs volunteers
Terms and Conditions
Full-time 35 hours per week
Location: IFCA Office, Unit 23, Village Green, Tallaght, Dublin 24
Garda Vetting and attendance at Induction training is required
Two satisfactory references of which one should be from the current employer
Access to car and hold a full Irish driving license.
Salary Scale: Salary: €39,457 – €52,500 (9 points)
