Job Title:                    National Adult Safeguarding Lead

Number of Hours:     37 hours per week (1 x full time role or 2 x part time job share roles)

Location:                    Sandyford, Dublin 18

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the purpose of the role is to have overall responsibility for managing adult safeguarding concerns and referrals throughout Cheshire Ireland.Acting as the single point of contact, the post holder/s will have overall responsibility for:

All adult safeguarding concerns and referrals
Recording, monitoring, reviewing and commissioning investigations and reviewing of investigation reports to determine the appropriate course of action.
Ensuring that all recommendations arising from safeguarding investigations are implemented locally within the service and throughout the organisation where appropriate.
Developing and supporting best practice the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
Ensuring that all individuals receiving a service from Cheshire Ireland are informed and knowledgeable about what constitutes abuse against them and the actions they can take to voice or express their concerns.
Ensuring clear and effective policies are in place to uphold the highest standards of Adult Safeguarding within Cheshire Ireland.

The Person:

A third level qualification in Social Work is required.

Salary range:             Dependent on experience
