Operations Coordinator – Cycle Against Suicide – Dublin

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic organisation as Operations Coordinator.

Cycle Against Suicide is looking for a talented and experienced Operations Coordinator to oversee all Cycle Against Suicide operations including the planning and execution of our year-long calendar of activities. You should have excellent operations and project/event management experience, with outstanding organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills.

Skills and Experience Required
Essential

At least 2 years’ experience in an operations/event management role
Excellent people-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A thorough understanding of project/stakeholder management
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Excellent organisational skills
A self-starter who can deliver results without direct supervision

Desirable

A qualification in project or event management
Experience of working with charities, NGOs or campaigns

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Oversight of all operational matters to include:

Management of the Volunteer team responsible for operational matters
Meticulous planning and execution of all events including spinoffs, the main cycle, Events Against Suicide, Student Leaders’ Congress, all event launches and any other Cycle Against Suicide managed events
Oversight of the Homestay programme and the Community Engagement programme
New event formats – to assist with the selection and development of new event platforms to spread the message that “it’s ok not to feel ok, and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help”
Work with the Volunteers’ Coordinator to establish training requirements for Volunteers and oversee the development and implementation of same
Work with the Volunteer Logistics Coordinator to establish training requirements for Volunteers and oversee the implementation of same
Work with the Volunteer Logistics Coordinator to ensure all safety procedures and documentation comply with current best practices and oversee the implementation of same
Work with the Volunteer Marketing and Communications team to help maximise publicity around key events
Work with the Volunteer Schools Coordinator on planning and preparation for the main cycle
Work with all Volunteer Coordinators to ensure maximum possible exposure for the events to ensure maximum uptake in participation
Work with the Fundraising Manager to assist in the development of a comprehensive and sustainable fundraising campaign and to assist in the delivery of adequate volunteer resources to underpin the campaign
Work with the Mental Health Organisations Relationships Coordinator to ensure maximum reach in terms of signposting

Terms

This position is being offered on a one-year contract basis with a six-month probationary period and is subject to sustained funding. The salary will be €30,000 p.a. and will be a full-time role. The Operations Coordinator will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
