QQI Level 4 ‘Workplace Safety’ Module Tutor – North Wall CDP Education & Training Services

The tutor will be required to:
Develop, plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate a program of learning as set out in the QQI specifications for each module.
Mark and monitor module assessments in line with QQI / CDETB policies and procedures.
To prepare appropriate plans and learning materials for each session, to make them available for monitoring or lesson observation visits and to maintain them as part of the course documentation files.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Professional Qualification and Experience:
Minimum Requirements
The successful tutor will hold a recognised qualification in Workplace Safety that is at least one NFQ level above Level 4 and have at least two years related professional experience in the relevant disciplines.
Experience of teaching/training adults in Workplace Safety or related disciplines.
A demonstrable understanding of the core principles underpinning teaching adults (planning, delivery, assessment and evaluation of learning at QQI standards).
An ability to use different learning strategies and teaching methods suitable for teaching a diverse range of competencies and abilities.
A strong working knowledge of the QQI Awards System, Certification, Marking Systems and Assessment of Modules.
High competency in the successful delivery of QQI Modules at Level 4 and above.
Excellent Personal & Interpersonal Skills.
Experience of working with long term unemployed people and early school leavers.
Desirable Requirements

Good understanding and appreciation of working in the community education sector.
A flexible, adaptable and learner-centered approach is also desirable.

Please note:
The contract will be from 27th November 2017 to 20th December 2017 inclusive to include all planning, development of learning materials, delivery of modules, marking and assessments.

Rate €20/€24 per hour.
