Support Services Manager – Coolmine TC – Dublin

Coolmine Therapeutic Community has a vacancy for a Support Services Manager. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organisations support services with a particular focus on developing the organisations profile and increasing financial support to CTC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic

Support CTC to develop and implement a three year funding strategy for current and planned organisational activity in consultation with the CEO.
Develop and manage CTCs support service infrastructure to maximise resources to ensure core service activity is delivered
Hold a strategic and active role in the Senior Management Team.

Marketing and Profile development

Develop and execute an annual external communication plan that positions CTC as a treatment and rehabilitation leader in the media and sector-wide.
Develop and deliver CTCs digital marketing strategy including CTCs website, use of facebook and linkedin.
Develop and deliver facebook campaigns that provides a platform for CTC to promote the work of the organisation, make services more accessible to those in need and expresses company opinion on relevant subject matter
Deliver high quality organisational publications ranging from annual reports, research studies, through to publicity and campaign materials.
Oversee CTCs client engagement in public relations that represent the organisation, ensuring client anonymity is upheld where appropriate and clients are treated with dignity and respect.

Funding and fundraising

Research, draft and submit funding applications to relevant grant providers such as public funders, corporate organisations, foundations and community based grant providers.
Manage relationships with public and private funders including appropriate and timely reporting and communications to funders.
Create and cultivate donor relationships with a particular emphasis on connecting with potential new donors and development of long-term relationships with current donors.
Produce high-quality persuasive copy for fundraising publications and company publicity
Oversee and deliver CTCs community based fundraising initiatives.
Developing appropriate systems for funding administration, ensuring that a donor database is maintained and fit for purpose and that all potential donations are appropriately acknowledged, managed, planned, co-ordinated and monitored from notification through to completion.
Monitor fundraising performance against targets set on a quarterly basis ensuring that funding activities are reviewed, assessed and improved.

Event management

Develop, lead and co-ordinate CTCs annual events schedule to ensure maximum profile of the organisations work and development and engagement of relationships with key supporters.
Collaboratively develop innovative annual fundraising initiatives that identify and create sustainable additional income for CTC long-term with the CEO/SMT.

Support Services line management

Oversee CTCs IT strategy and infrastructure including line management of IT lead worker.
Scope, develop and oversee CTC start up community based initiatives that actively promote through positive profiling the organisations work, such as Recovery through Nature.
Line manage fundraising assistant and volunteers to deliver community based fundraising activity within set targets.
Develop an annual internal communication plan that consists of regular and engaging news feeds to staff, clients and organisation supporters including quarterly newsletters and facebook updates.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

This position requires an experienced networker, proven negotiator and relationship builder with strong written and oral skills and the ability to engage across many levels.

Qualifications

Relevant Third level degree qualification.
Professional management qualification preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing fundraising or similar functions, on either a part-time or full-time basis with a proven record of delivery.
In-depth knowledge of digital marketing (e.g. social media, branding, and online fundraising platforms).
Competence in managing fundraising information systems/databases.
Experience of budget processes and financial management.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in direct line management of staff.
Proven record of leadership capability in the supervision of staff/teams.

Skills required           

A dynamic and passionate self-starter.
Proactive in leading, planning, project management and organisational skills, including a thorough attention to detail.
Ability to develop social media interface to promote organisational profile and fundraising activity/campaigns.
Communicate effectively, including addressing meetings internally and externally, with the full range of CTC stakeholders.
Experience of preparing press releases and engagement with national media.
Able to produce persuasive copy for public relations interface, including press releases, and fundraising campaigns.
Display consistent and effective leadership skills particularly during challenging periods.
