Belvedere Youth Club is a voluntary organisation established in 1918 and is a registered charity working with at risk children and young people from Dublin’s Inner City. Working in collaboration with our colleagues in CDYSB, Dept. of Social Protection and the Irish Youth Justice Service Belvedere Youth Club is committed to providing a comprehensive best practice service to meet the needs of the young people who experience disadvantage and marginalization in their community.
Belvedere Youth Club now invites applications for the position of Part-Time Youth Worker (Two Positions). The successful applicant will be responsible to Management for the delivery of frontline services to young people as part of a youth work team.
All applicants must meet one of the following requirements;
A professionally endorsed qualification in Youth and Community work
An equivalent professional qualification or Degree plus two years’ experience of working with young people in a youth and community setting.
Experience of the establishment and running of a Youth Theatre group for children and young people with an emphasis on directing and producing shows, plays and variety performances.
Desirable Competencies: Commitment to providing the highest level of service, Excellent communication skills-oral, aural and written, effective team working, professionalism, respect for others, outcomes focused, contributing to the prevention and managing of challenging behaviour and a working knowledge of the National Quality Standards Framework (NQSF).
Fixed term contract for 1 year
Salary is aligned to the CDYSB Youth Worker pay scale based on a 30 hour week.
