Occupational Therapy Manager – St. Catherine’s Association

Essential:
A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy approved by the Department of Health and Children. Overseas qualifications must bevalidated.
A minimum of 6 years post qualification experience
Eligibility for registration with CORU
An interest working with clients that have Intellectual disabilities and autism
Experience providing assessment and treatment to infants, children and young adults presenting with physical and sensory dysfunction associated with Intellectual disability
Experience linking with the HSE and Department of Education in relation to specialised equipment
Knowledge and experience of equipment such as specialised buggies/beds, etc, for children with a range of physical and sensory impairments
Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
The ability to demonstrate flexibility, work effectively under pressure and handle changing priorities
Ability to make sound judgment and decision based on current legislation, best practice and individual circumstances

Knowledge of:
National Policy surrounding Progressing Disability Services (PDS)
Knowledge of the Disability Act 2005
HIQA requirements for Residential and Respite Services
Excellent verbal and written skills
Full drivers license

Desirable:
Previous manager experience
Relevant clinical experience working with clients that have Intellectual disabilities and autism
Experience in working with children with complex medical needs and/or wide range of physical and sensory disability from Motor delay/ development delay/ life limiting conditions
The successful candidate will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team and enjoy a high level of professional support.
