Psychotherapist – Crosscare – Crosscare Teen Counselling

Clinical Model

Crosscare Teen Counselling (CTC) was established in 1973 and provides a ‘generalist’ family based service model – Positive Systemic Practice – developed to address the challenges that arise in the transition from childhood to early adulthood in the family’s and teenager’s lives. CTC’s objective is to support the normal systems that support teenagers (i.e. home, family, school and community). CTC works mainly in teams of two counsellors but is flexible and responsive to the needs of individual cases. A consultant Psychiatrist supports the work of counsellors as required. The service accepts referrals from many sources including Social Work, GP’s, Youth Workers, Parents and Schools. The service currently operates from 6 centres in Drumcondra, Tallaght, Clondalkin, Arran Quay, Finglas and Dun Laoghaire.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant will hold either:
A Professional Qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy of at least 3yrs Diploma Standard.
OR
A Degree in Counselling/Clinical Psychology from an Accredited Course recognised by PSI.
AND MUST
Be accredited with the relevant Professional Body.
Have had a minimum of two years experience of managing a case load after achieving accreditation / registration.
Have demonstrable experience working with adolescents and families.

Salary: €27,199.80 for three day contract. Full Time Equivalent = €45,333 per annum (Point 8 of the Counsellor Salary Scale).
