Relief Staff

Relief Hours for Respite and Residential

The successful applicants will be supporting and facilitating the development of children who are in respite care and those who are living in a residential house within SCA.

The successful applicant will be required to travel to various locations of the Organisation and to represent St Catherine’s wherever necessary.

Applicants must have:

HETAC Level 7 Qualification in a relevant Health care discipline is essential
A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities
Excellent interpersonal & team skills
The ability to work on your own initiative
Flexibility is essential
The successful candidate must be available for Sleepovers & waking nights
An ability to implement the policies of the organisation
An ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on current legislation, best practice and individual circumstances
An ability to assess situations and act appropriately and use analytical and problem solving processes that best meet the needs of the clients and the service
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to the values of St Catherine’s to improve the lives of the people we support
The ability to work effectively under pressure and handle changing priorities
Hold a full clean driving license and have access to transport
