Youth Arts Coordinator – Cherry Orchard Equine Centre – Dublin 10

Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate our youth arts programme
Devise and facilitate creative workshops for young people.
Build positive relationships with young people, stakeholders, and the local community.
Keep project records and write reports with project updates
Liaise with and coordinate with external contractors including artists, producers etc.

Role Requirements
Applicants will hold a recognised qualification in youth work or related field.
Experience in developing/delivering arts projects in a youth group setting with an emphasis on the arts practitioners is highly desirable
Good communication skills with young people are a must as is the ability to respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations.
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with young people, the wider youth work team and the community is an important aspect of the work.
Weekends and early evening work can be required to meet the availability and needs of young people.
Good interpersonal skills, including ability to liaise with a wide range of contacts and build and maintain effective working relationships.
Excellent standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to be proactive, use own initiative and work effectively within a pressurised environment.
Positive and flexible approach to team working.
Good written communications skills, including ability to draft summary information and correspondence.
Good computer skills, including Word processing, Excel and Internet.
Excellent time-management skills are needed, as well as the capacity to meet deadlines.
