Finance Officer (Part-time) – Nasc – Cork

Nasc, the Irish Immigrant Support Centre is recruiting for a Finance Officer – Part Time 20 Hours Per Week

Location: Cork

Reporting to: The Chief Executive Officer

Nasc, the Irish Immigrant Support Centre is an independent human rights organisation in Cork that works to secure access to justice and services for migrants and ethnic minorities in Ireland. We work to ensure a just, inclusive and integrated society.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Officer who will be responsible for the operation and control of the financial management function in Nasc. Nasc is currently funded from a number of sources including philanthropic, E.U. Grants, fundraising and donations. The Finance Officer will be responsible for the financial control and reporting requirements under each funding source. In addition, the role will include working with the CEO and staff team to further develop and consolidate the funding available to Nasc across a range of funding and income sources, preparation of monthly accounts for the Nasc Board, and ensuring compliance with our regulatory requirements and the financial policies of the organisation.

Essential criteria:

A relevant financial qualification
A minimum of three years experience of working in a similar role
Strong financial management and reporting skills.
Demonstrated experience in the financial management of a number of funding sources
Experience in financial reporting across a number of funding and income sources
Experience in the preparation of budgets and management accounts
Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the not for profit sector
Knowledge of Quickbooks or related software and Collsoft payroll is essential.

Flexible and a self-starter; with an ability to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented with personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to Nasc mission and vision.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
