Chief Finance Officer – Mayo North East LEADER Partnership – Co Mayo

Key Responsibilities include:
Ensure statutory and charity compliance in all financial reporting practices.
Preparation and timely completion of management accounts, forecasts, annual report and reports to MNELP Board and sub committees.
Financial Systems implementation and enhancement of controls to ensure that MNELP’s basic accounting and reporting infrastructure is future proofed and fully integrated.
Treasury management including developing MNELP’s debt and reserve strategy.
Oversee critical corporate and business services, including Procurement, IT, Legal, Compliance and Risk Management.
Develop and maintain strong internal relationships and with key stakeholders (including government shareholder departments, auditors, industry bodies, etc.).
The successful candidate should be a team player, have exceptional leadership skills and have a demonstrable commitment to public service.

Essential Skills & Experience include:
Qualified accountant with min 5 years post qualification commercial experience in a similar environment (public or community sector).
Strategic thinking with a strong understanding of the business practices and workings of the community/ public / civil service and its governance, oversight and audit requirements.
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal across multiple stakeholders and at Board level.
Strong relationship management skills and the ability to find innovative solutions to complex tasks.
The Finance Officer will be a leader of their own direct areas of responsibility and will identify an innate personal responsibility for the Company and its objectives.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
