Facilities Co-ordinator / Care Taker – Muscular Dystrophy Ireland – Dublin

Job Purpose:
The holder of this position will be responsible for the facilities of the MDI Offices incorporating the day to day running of the Home from Home Apartment (three bed roomed, self-contained apartment).

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the aims and objectives for the MDI National Resource Centre and the Home from Home Apartment are carried out.
Manage all the affairs of the Home from Home Apartment incorporated within the centre including meet/greet, induction, cleaning, bookings, check ins/outs, etc.
Liaise with members, families and carers re: bookings for the Home from Home Apartment.
Induction, meet and greet members booking into the Home from Home Apartment.
Support the ongoing maintenance of MDI Home from Home Apartment and equipment.
Ensure sufficient supplies are maintained for the Home from Home Apartment.
Responsible for the Health and Safety within the MDI National Resource Centre and the Home from Home Apartment.
Continue the development of the policies and procedures in line with current standards and best practice to include applications forms, health and safety, booking system, etc.
Adhere to and promote MDI policies, procedures and principles of independent living.
Attend staff meetings as requested
Maintain and update procedures manual for the operational aspects of MDI National Resource Centre in accordance with good practice standards.
Any other duties as may be required from time to time by the Chief Executive Officer

Terms and Conditions
Part-Time, Permanent – 20 hours per week (Flexibility is required)
21 days annual leave (pro rata)
Six month probation period
This post is subject to Garda Clearance and a two-day induction period.
