The Assistant Co-ordinator will assist in the development, co-ordination and implementation of Treos Local Training Initiative (LTI) to meet the education/training needs of service users. The Assistant Coordinator will recruit & engage young adult learners to successfully complete their QQI level 3 Major Award (initially), and to identify progression routes to further training, education or employment options. The successful candidate will deliver a range of QQI modules and liaise with WWETB and other Tutors to provide additional modules/programmes. Treos LTI scheme will have 14 male and female trainees aged 16 to 23 years. The Assistant Co-Ordinators Role will involve: Assist the LTI Coordinator in the recruitment of learners to the LTI. To co-ordinate some of the activities and modules related to the LTI. To assist in the ongoing support to learners to ensure they benefit from and successfully complete the program. Organise accreditation of the LTI modules etc

Skills Requirements

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience. Candidates must have knowledge of: Community/Further Education. Target group issues i.e. Addiction, Marginalisation, Family dysfunction, Mental health, Homelessness, Criminality etc. dynamics. Candidates must have experience of: Working in a supervisory role. Administrative duties. Delivering training. Working with vulnerable populations. Candidates must possess: Excellent command of the English language.
