Psychotherapist – Mohill Family Support Centre – Co Leitrim

Purpose of Job:
To provide Assessment and Counselling in Mohill Family Support Centre on a specific purpose contract from November 2022 to November 2023.
Hourly Rate: €50.00
Note: This post is not an employment post. The Psychotherapist will be self-employed, will be paid a fee per session, and will be responsible for paying his or her own income tax.

Qualifications and experience required by suitable candidates must include the following:
A degree or postgraduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognised by IACP or IAHIP
Have full accredited membership with IACP or IAHIP
Have a minimum of 2 years relevant post qualification working with adults in particular
Description of Requirements
The Counselling Service will include, but will not be limited to:
Targeted interventions for adults aged 18 years and upwards in the Mohill, Carigallen, Ballinamore and West Cavan
A level of mild difficulties impacting on their mental health or wellbeing is being experienced and requires an intervention that will last 10 -12 weeks (one session per week)
The intervention will be time limited and specific to identified needs.
It is requested that the applicant describes the Risk Assessment tool / Assessment that will be used to screen prior to engaging with the service.

NOTES
The successful applicant must provide the following to Mohill Family Support Centre prior to commencing the role:
Tax clearance verification must be provided.
Evidence of relevant insurances.
Evidence of accreditation and qualifications which will be verified.
Evidence of supervision arrangements which will be verified
Any conflicts of interest must be fully disclosed to Mohill Family Support Centre
Garda vetting prior to appointment which will be applied for by Mohill Family Support Centre with the applicant’s consent.
Mohill Family Support Centre will manage the delivery of the full work programme through financial control ensuring that payments are subject to the achievement of specific outcomes and objectives set out in the work programme.
Payment will be made monthly by Mohill Family Support Centre based on the receipt of progress reports along with an invoice for payment for work completed. Mohill Family Support Centre reserve the right to validate any of the claims made in relation to targets. Should the successful individual fail to competently complete the required work to schedule, Mohill Family Support Centre reserves the right to refuse or withhold part or all payment.
All case/client notes will remain as the property of Mohill Family Support Centre. The successful applicant will be required to comply with Mohill Family Support Centre’s Data Protection Policy and Procedures.
Upon signing the contract with Mohill Family Support Centre, the successful applicant must agree to adhere to Mohill Family Support Centres internal policies and procedures in relation to Child Protection, Health and Safety, Covid-19 and GDPR.
