Senior Policy & Research Coordinator – Oxfam Ireland

THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Oxfam team and deliver high quality research and policy analysis to inform and support Oxfam Ireland’s advocacy and campaigns in the areas of Just Economies and Climate Justice at the Irish, EU and global levels.
The post holder will lead and develop research and robust evidence-based policy analysis, informed by country/regional programme experience, to influence key stakeholders at Irish, EU and global level, producing high-quality written policy analysis and briefings for use in various communication channels and events, as well as contributing to campaign literature.
Working wide a wide range of individuals across all Oxfam affiliates, you will represent Oxfam Ireland and build strategic relationships on relevant Oxfam International working groups, in external coalitions, with academia and at lobbying/consultation events or conferences

Essential requirements include;
Third level qualification in relevant subject area.
track record in the successful delivery of innovative, multi-channel advocacy.
in-depth knowledge of Irish, EU and global policies on Economic Justice and/or Climate Justice.
experience of producing research and policy papers.
Good knowledge and understanding of other key issues in the development sector and methods of political and public engagement.
Track record in building networks and influencing with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills for engagement with a wide variety of audiences.
Knowledge of political environment on the island of Ireland and how it relates to the organisation’s work in terms of development issues.
