Ussher Assistant Professor in Science of Energy and Energy Systems Are you an expert in power electronics; power grid and smart grid systems for energy distribution; the science underpinning the technologies for energy generation, distribution and storage on industrial or large scales or renewables (including photovoltaics) and distributed power generation. Are you capable of building strong ties with industry (e.g. power generation and/or transmission companies) and can demonstrate a track record in proposing and developing practical solutions for pressing problems in the energy industry? Have you got strong pedagogic and communication (presentation, oral and written) skills? The School of Physics candidate wishes to appoint an Ussher Assistant Professor in Science of Energy and Energy Systems who is highly motivated to contribute to the development and delivery of the proposed new Science of Energy course.
