Cheeverstown House is a voluntary organisation, in a four-year accredited partnership with the Council on Quality and Leadership, based in South County Dublin. We provide a range of support services to people with an intellectual disability in various locations and our core values are person-centredness, community inclusion and active participation with a strong emphasis on quality. We are now recruiting to fill the following post:

JOB COACH
Permanent, full-time (37 hours)

The successful candidate will work alongside local managers in meeting the needs of people who use the service. He/she will work with adults with an intellectual disability who are either already in paid employment or are seeking paid employment in the open labour market. Key responsibilities include: sourcing meaningful employment opportunities; providing support in work and community settings and acting as keyworker to develop and support the achievement of Person Centred Plans.

Essential criteria for this role are:

Excellent communication skills
Experience networking with employers, family members and members of the wider community
Ability to work on own initiative
Be an excellent team member
Access to a car and possess a full clean driving licence

Desirable criteria are:

Experience in community inclusion opportunities
Good organisational and report writing skills
Experience of working with people with a disability
Training or experience as Job Coach
A relevant third level qualification, preferably in Supported Employment
