About Citywise Education
Citywise Education is a not-for-profit organisation which was set up to provide educational and social supports to young people in underserved communities. It currently provides a wide range of educational and leadership programmes through STEMSquare, Fast Track Academy, and through a variety of clubs. Over 400 young people regularly use the services of Citywise Education.

The role:
The new COO and their staff delivery team will be responsible for leading, guiding, developing and growing the programs delivered within the organization. They will also be expected to work with the CEO in developing new programmes.
The COO will report to the CEO of Citywise Education.

Specific responsibilities include:
Ensuring that all programmes, targets and structures are reviewed and kept up to date as set down by the CEO and board.
Line managing officer grade staff and assisting in induction and ongoing training.
Line managing overseas volunteers and assisting in the induction and ongoing training of overseas and local.
Training and development of volunteers in collaboration with other members of senior management.
Act as the person in charge when the CEO is outside of working hours.
Be a contributing member of the Citywise Education senior management committee.

Experience & Qualifications
Minimum level 7 degree in a relatable field.
The candidate should have some experience in managing a team.
Experience in positively engaging with stakeholders within and outside of the organisation.
Previous knowledge of health and safety and risk.
Track record of managing clients and staff.
Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a dynamic and pressurised environment.
Capacity to deliver programmes to young people.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office programs (Desirable).
Location: Citywise Education, Fortunestown Way, Tallaght.
Working Hours: 39 hours per week excluding breaks. Some flexibility around working hours will be required.
Salary: Salary will commensurate with experience.
