Project Worker – Sankalpa – Dublin

The post holder will:
To work as a team member to fulfill polices, aims and objectives of Sankalpa.
To hold assigned case load of Key-working participants
To facilitate and co facilitate therapeutic and education group programmes as defined by the group and the programme schedule.
Work closely with external partners, Probation Service, Prison Service and HSE, to support service users to achieve goals in their support plan.
Participate in a care and case management model, i.e., assessment, key working, care planning; transfer of files and sharing of information internally, and updating on eCASS and Outcomes star, and carry out administration in accordance with Sankalpa policies.
Prepare reports, statistics and other information as required by Sankalpa, adhering to good record keeping guidelines, and using eCASS, internal case management logs, and internal IT Systems;
Staff will be expected to work appropriate hours to carry out responsibilities. Some out of hours unsocial work hours may be required as part of the role.

Essential Professional Qualifications / Experience
Diploma in social work, social care, psychology, addiction studies, counselling, CRA, CBT addiction studies;
Degree in Addiction Studies is desirable but not essential;
An excellent understanding of issues relating to problem drug use:
addictions, behaviors, needs and related health issues;
addiction treatment approaches and relapse prevention
mental health issues
domestic violence issues
complex trauma
reasons for homelessness and needs, rights and entitlements of homeless persons
Trained and experienced in assessment, key working and care planning case mangement processes
A minimum of 2 years paid employment in a relevant care setting, with at least one year experience in addiction treatment
Good experience of group facilitation, therapeutic and educational
Experince in data inputting with reference to the eCass.
