Support Staff – Relief Panel – Aiseiri Ceim Eile – Dublin

Purpose:
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a residential setting. To provide professional support to all who attend the programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that the night / day time operations of the service are run smoothly and in accordance with organisation policies and procedures.
Work with all clients to develop trust and respect.
To deal with difficult or problematic situations in a sensitive manner within the framework of the organisation’s policies and record such incidents as appropriate.
To work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Give accurate reports in verbal and written form.
Have a flexible approach to the work in response to organisational change, development and review of best practice.
Administration duties to include updating our client management system, filing system and client files.
Help with the preparation of meals – breakfast and bedtime snack where applicable.
To manage client needs during the night as required and deal with night time emergencies as they arise.
To act and carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
Person Specification:

Qualifications
Have a minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in addiction, health and social care or nursing role.
Have a relevant qualification (minimum FETAC Level 7 or equivalent) e.g. social care, addiction studies, nursing,
Experience and interest in food preparation and cooking.
Computer literate, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and have the ability to learn various computer packages rapidly.
Personal Attributes Essential:
Compassionate but pragmatic and effective in the delivery of services that maximises client recovery.
Willingness and capacity to be reflective and creative in developing new means and methods of maximising client recovery in accordance with evidence and best practice.
Ability to maintain the principles of confidentiality in all areas of work.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Openness to change, professionalism and respect for others.
Person centered approach.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Flexible, reliable and prepared to work, days, nights, week-ends and public holidays.
Good decision-making skills.
