Chief Executive Officer – The Community Foundation for Ireland

The Role
The Community Foundation for Ireland is seeking a CEO to provide intellectual leadership of the Foundation and foster an environment of creativity, efficiency, and innovation in all facets of our work. The CEO will take lead responsibility for all strategic management matters, will direct policy development and strategic planning, and will be formally accountable to the Chairperson and Board. The scope of the CEO post is as follows:

Serve as a Trusted Advisor to Donors
Strategic Vision – operationalise the Foundation’s philanthropic vision and interests through leadership and the development of effective strategies
Provide Leadership to and Manage all staff employed by the Foundation
External Representation and Credibility – represent the Foundation and donors as a philanthropic leader in overall philanthropy, as well as in each of its strategic areas of interest
Executing for Results

Essential requirements:
5-10 years of senior management experience in medium / large organisation, third level educational qualification, team leadership, submission and securing of funding applications, substantial experience of management of wide range of stakeholders across a range of sectors, experience of working at Board level, excellent communication skills.

Desirable requirements:
experience of not for profit sector either as a volunteer or employee, interface with central government
Salary: Negotiable and attractive. Benefits: Pension contribution 5%, Holidays 30 days, 2 Volunteer Days, Cycle to Work Scheme and mileage.
