Description

The key task is to take responsibility for the implementation of best practices in all areas of production management including output, materials supply, health & safety and facilities: – Lead and motivate teams, manage their performance and personal development – Manage production to highest standards to satisfy customer expectation and on-time delivery – Set objectives and improve systems and procedures – Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the buying and materials planning functions – Maintain employee safety and morale by creating a safe and efficient working environment – Prepare reports analyse data and implement projects to improve the operational performance of the organisation – Improve on key performance indicators through the implementation of a continuous improvement initiative – Ensure management information is sufficient, accurate and timely.

Skills Requirements

– Proven track record of working at management or senior supervisory level in a production related capacity – Working knowledge of best practices in all areas of production management – Engineering experience essential – Ability to demonstrate maturity of judgement, strong interpersonal and communication skills and a high degree of personal integrity – Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines – Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage change to achieve best practices
